Today is Saturday and I sit here thinking what I should write about in my on-line journal. So much has happened over the past week. Everyone seems to be overwhelmed including me with all the new classes/assignments. I know that each completed assignment will take me closer to my goal, which is to become a competent, and effective speech language pathologist. So I know that I have to buckle down now move than ever and give it my best efforts or my dream is shot. My only concern is that I’ll become obsessed over grades and my dream will become my nightmare.

I guess my objective for this week was to survive the first week of school. I also wanted to get a jump on my assignments for this class. So I just started at the beginning of the list and completed them one by one. I feel like I should do this so I don't become lazy and get behind.

Only one disaster this week, which has been trying to establish a blog, URL address. Ms. McComas reassures me this is only minor but I think the semester is only getting started. Note to self: I noticed in Ms. McComas posting she is looking for the beachbum. Well guess what I'm the beachbum who longs to take strolls on the beach and sell ice cream when I retire. Oh well....hopefully everything will turn out all right as I’m really excited about this semester.

My final thought for this journal entry: I just keep telling myself pretend you’re a sponge and soak it all up.
